San Jose Home Depot catches on fire, causes heavy smoke


A five-alarm hearth erupted Saturday evening at a San Jose Property Depot, sending a thick plume of grey smoke into the air and forcing consumers and workforce to flee the retail outlet.

The San Jose Fire Division tweeted shortly just after 6 p.m. that they ended up responding to a business framework fireplace in the 900 block of Blossom Hill Highway. Movies and pictures shared on social media showed the Residence Depot retailer located at 920 Blossom Hill Street, which is situated in a purchasing heart across from the Westfield Oakridge Mall, engulfed in flames.

Officials say they have not been given any reviews of injuries. They are asking customers of the community to steer clear of the spot.

Other nearby enterprises, which include the Wagly Veterinary Hospital and Pet Campus located adjacent to the Property Depot, ended up evacuated Saturday night out of precaution. Those on the lookout to reunite with animals have been questioned to report to the Golfland parking whole lot at 976 Blossom Hill Highway.
