Develop your own “On Island Time” indication merely with scrapbook paper and simply transferred lettering with paint!
I hope you are possessing a great 7 days. We have been touring and checking out family members (and mates) in the superb state of South Carolina. (some in the Charleston area and some in the upstate)
If you follow along in excess of on Instagram, you may have noticed a tiny of the vacation. Enjoyment, exciting!
On Island Time Signal
Today I’m back again sharing this sweet minimal sign…
Since it is now a indicator and has a great hanging wire on the again, I figured I’d maintain it a indicator.
Properly, form of.
You can hold it or sit it on a shelf, possibly way.
In this article is what it seems like now…
Just a minor unique, huh? lol
Well, guess what? Yep…I pulled out a different sheet of that prolonged-dropped scrapbook paper I had stashed away and applied it.
You can see over that I made a crease by pressing alongside the edges of the board for chopping.
Then I applied a thin layer of my Decoupage Gel …
…and connected the scrapbook paper.
The moment it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a pleasant cleanse line like you see beneath.
I love that minimal trick! Works so well. (on fabric decoupage far too)
Then I printed (in reverse) out the words “on island time…” and organized them on the sign the place I desired them.
I rubbed more than them with the pencil to transfer the ink from the inkjet.

You can see how perfectly this will work down below.
Then all you have to do is use a little artist’s brush to paint in excess of the lettering. (one thing like this brush will work incredibly well)
I used white paint for the letters.
I went back again over locations that were far too skinny and then determined to insert shadowing.
I like to print out the phrases with a “shadow” and it shows you just about everywhere you need to incorporate it.
Does not that just make the letters pop??
Finally, I incredibly hot glued a toddler starfish to the front to complete it up.
Best for that beach-themed dwelling or cottage by the sea. 🙂
Another quite uncomplicated a single! Loving all the decoupage I’ve been carrying out these days.
It’s been so substantially pleasurable to transform these previous, exhausted pieces!
PIN it to help you save it!
I’ll be again upcoming 7 days with this one particular! (I Love how this one particular turned out and just can’t wait to share it with you)
Have a great weekend!!
